Ocean Rowers invade 2011 Seattle Boat Show

By Greg Spooner

Well, the 2011 Seattle Boat Show is now officially underway, and with it, we’re announcing plans for the next big ocean row:

Africa to the Americas

Proposed mid-Atlantic route: Liberia to Venezuela

By rowing the mid-Atlantic from West Africa to Venezuela, we’re bridging the oceanic gap and connecting Right to Play communities. Make sure to follow along here at our website, and ‘Like’ us at our Facebook page.

Paul Swesey, "Resident Holy Man," blessed ocean row fundraising, rower safety, and Adam's back.

Business is good so far at our booth… visitors LOVE seeing the historic boat that crossed the North Atlantic in person, and along with hearing about our new expedition, they are very excited about Right to Play (RTP). The RTP name is well known across Canada, and we hope to influence further awareness across all of North America & beyond.

Jordan entertains the masses

Down the way from the booth we have friends from Gig Harbor Boat Works showing off the types of boats that Jordan and I used to circumnavigate Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula in 2008 (BTW, the hardest and most rewarding trip I’ve ever taken).  Read Jordan’s excellent story about the trip here.

On the other side of the Qwest Events Center is Whitehall Rowing, coming down from Adam’s hometown of Victoria, BC.  Harold Aune and his Whitehall crew came out to meet us as we rowed into Victoria Harbor during our October training row.

Stop in to see us at the Qwest Field Events Center in the East Hall, Aisle 1500.  Make sure to sign up for the chance to win a free 2-hour rowing lesson, or a customized presentation for your business or children’s school.
