General Outlook:
Light and scattered rain continues as a deep upper low pressure system (storm) hangs over the Pacific Northwest/British Columbia. Environment Canada calls for a 30% chance of rain before daybreak tomorrow. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if you stayed dry tonight; current radar in the Strait of Georgia looks like any lingering showers are moving northeastward and toward land, and there is no current radar indication of any other showers moving into your vicinity. Temperature should not vary much tonight with a low somewhere near 45*F (8*C). The upper low will gradually move southeastward tomorrow, taking the wet weather with it; the possibility of light rain will continue through tomorrow night. Ridging will then take hold on Friday, bringing generally fair and sunny conditions for the rest of the weekend. Long term outlook: Another storm system should begin approaching sometime around Monday.
Winds:
0 hour forecast (23 PDT): 5-10 knots from the southeast; there is a chance for winds as high as 15 knots in the next few hours, especially from now until 3am.
6 hour forecast (5 PDT): 5-10 knot winds still from SE.
12 hour forecast (11 PDT): 5-10 knot winds are still mostly from the SE. Wind will shift to W sometime later in the day on Thursday.
