Conditions are currently pretty favorable for westward travel and will continue to be so. Winds may increase in the short term but will then start to relax and develop a more easterly component. You are now either in or approaching the southern portion of a clockwise gyre in the currents which will give you a nice ride but as you exit around 30W the current will turn northward.
