Another front passing through

As the team enters Queen Charlotte Strait, another weather system is rolling in. Winds will be southeasterly, strong, and building through tonight, when the front passes.

Today: You should have southeasterly winds building through the day, with the climax just before another cold front comes through overnight tonight. Environment Canada has a gale warning out for you (Queen Charlotte Strait)!!! They say winds up to 30 kts this afternoon and 35 by midnight. The WRF model gets up to 30 or so. It has gusts up to 50 kts getting just into the strait with the front passage (at 11 pm).

The center of the storm is 989 mb, and it’s centered at 50 N, 140 W as of 8 am. That’s not as strong as some of the storms that were happening when you guys were still in Seattle getting ready.

It’ll be cloudy and it’ll probably start raining until the front comes through. Then it will clear up but it’ll cool off a bit more. 🙁 But not much! 🙂 It should stay in the mid 40s (F) or just under 10 (C).
