How does Jordan succeed on the Atlantic? Good training. Let’s start with some background… Jordan Hanssen’s rowing career began at University of Puget Sound in 2001. Since then he was a 4-time Northwest Collegiate Rowing Champion, gold medalist at WIRA, and voted “Mr. Crew.” The latter was to that point his biggest accomplishment (you know, if you discount that whole graduating from college with excellent marks thing), but he wouldn’t stop there. He circumnavigated the Olympic Peninsula by rowboat, built a “Muscle Garden” in his backyard, and traded in his oars for a shovel. Unconventional? Indeed.
