Description: Public is invited to visit “James Robert Hanssen,” 29-foot ocean rowboat, and OAR Northwest expedition team members. In 2006, after 72-days and 3,500 miles, the OAR Northwest team rowed across the North Atlantic Ocean from New York to Falmouth, England. They secured a Guinness World Record for being the first American ocean rowing team to ever make mainland landfall without assistance. In 2012 OAR Northwest will once again row across the Atlantic Ocean and engage school students via a dynamic education program. Read more under the “EDUCATION” tab.
