Cold front coming on Tuesday!

It’s warm and sunny this afternoon–enjoy it while it lasts! The southerly winds have picked up over the last few hours with gusts reaching 30 mph. Watch out for rough and choppy conditions on the water! The mild temperatures and windy conditions will continue overnight and into tomorrow morning. A cold front is rapidly moving in your direction. The front is currently entering Missouri and is expected to reach you around midday Tuesday. Temperatures will quickly shoot up close to 70 tomorrow morning and then plunge behind the front, dropping into the upper 40s/low 50s by the evening. Winds will be very strong, especially behind the front in the afternoon. There may be a few rain showers in the afternoon, but they will be light and pass quickly.

Temperatures will remain cold behind the front. Thursday will be the coldest day with temperatures struggling to hit 45. Winds will gradually diminish throughout the week but it still looks like Wednesday and Thursday will still be quite blustery. Temperatures should recover to the 50s by the weekend. The next chance for rain is late Saturday/early Sunday.
